Celebrate the Autumn Equinox with this 12 Page Magical Workbook that will perfectly compliment your autumn equinox rituals.
In Wicca, this harvest festival is also referred to as Modron or Mabon, unlike Ostara (Spring Equinox) which celebrates the increasing light, Mabon acknowledges the essential need for death in the natural cycles of life. The dying sun returns westward, the days shorten and we are reminded to turn inward to a darker but more reflective time.
Mabon is traditionally celebrated by enjoying the local fruits and vegetable harvest and embracing the beauty in the decaying leaves and how this is a reflection of our own ageing process.
This is the last nature festival before the sacred wheel of the year completes on Samhain that begins on the eve of September 31st Oct to Nov 1st.
The equinox means there are equal hours of daylight and night, in this magical window of time, we think of balance and an opportunity to prepare for the darker, wintery months ahead.
Our home becomes the focus, so just like Spring, we cleanse and clean spaces, thin out unused items, gift and recycle things that are no longer needed, in order to make fresh space available for new autumn and winter projects.
Spiritually, it’s a time for surrender, and letting go of the tight grip we may hold in certain areas of our lives. We pay homage to the Goddesses of the land and earth, we take cues and guidance from the natural world around us, we trust our intuition and flow with the unique language of this season.
